Objectives, activities and expected results:

Project No. 39796 CARAVELA aims to develop and demonstrate technology for the main constituent elements [building blocks] that form the microlaunchers, small launchers dedicated to small satellites, culminating in the launch of a sounding rocket, which will integrate elements developed in the project. The promoter consortium is made up of 4 companies (Tekever Space – Sistemas Espaciais, Lda; OMNIDEA Lda; FHP – Frezite High Performance, Lda; Usimeca – Metalomecânica, Lda) e por 6 entidades não empresariais (Aeroclube de Torres Vedras; CEiiA – Centro de Engenharia e Desenvolvimento (Associação); FCT/UNL – Universidade NOVA de Lisboa; Universidade do Porto; instituto de Soldadura e Qualidade; Instituto Superior Técnico), gathering the technical and scientific competences for its development.
